The two pictures below are my photo emulation. The second photograph is done by Chris Crisman. He was born and raised in Titusville, Pennsylvania. Crisman is a commercial photographer in environment portraiture. He specializes in outdoor scenes, capturing the main subject (a person) in an environment. Chris Crisman has taken photographs for Little Debbie, All State, Barrons, Runner's World, and many other companies. I chose to emulate this artist because he not only captures the person, but the emotion of the subject. For example, the lady in the his photograph has a half smile to show either mischief or innocence. Regarding his photograph, he uses natural light to highlight the womans face. I chose to do this as well, picking a bright sunny day. The sunlight highlighted my subjects face as well as the background of the picture. Even though our pictures have different exposures, the idea behind it is the same. Also, Crisman decided to have a large depth of field by including large hills in the background and water. In my picture, I included the background of houses far away to incorporate a large depth of field. I think i emulated this photograph well. One thing i would change was to incorporate trees on the side. In Chris Crismans photo, he uses the trees to frame the shot and lead the viewers eye around the picture.
